The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) offers Hounslow homeowners cash grants to replace old boilers with modern heat pump systems. From July 2026 to March 2027, you could receive up to £9,000 towards the cost of installing an air source heat pump, ground source heat pump, or switching away from an oil or LPG boiler.

Opennest works with MCS-certified installers across Hounslow to help you access this funding and complete your green retrofit. We handle the paperwork, connect you with qualified engineers, and guide you through every step of the process.

How it works

  1. Check your eligibility. You must own your home, have a working boiler, and meet residency requirements. We'll assess your property details and confirm whether you qualify for the scheme.
  2. Get quotes from certified installers. Opennest will introduce you to MCS-registered engineers in Hounslow who can quote for your heat pump installation and advise on the best system for your home.
  3. Apply for your grant and install. Your installer submits the BUS application on your behalf. Once approved, you pay your contribution and the grant is paid directly to the installer to reduce your final bill.
